Cleaning of filters in heating boiler

Start by switching off the boiler. Remove the front/cover of the boiler and pull out the filter holder.

It is located in the upper part of the boiler. The filter can be vacuumed and/or washed clean. Keep in mind that the filter must be completely dry before it is put back in the holder.

My channel selection is not working

How do I change the battery in the smoke alarm?

You twist off the cover of the smoke alarm, sometimes the battery is in the cover and sometimes stuck in the ceiling. You easily remove the battery and replace it with a new one. Then twist the cover back into place. If the above description does not help, you can report the fault via  My Pages

A bulb has broken

As a tenant, you are responsible for replacing the light bulbs inside your apartment and the outdoor lighting outside your door. Unscrew the broken bulb and replace it with a new one. Start the dishwasher

Make sure that the dishwasher always has rinse aid and dishwasher tablet/powder. Rinse aid and dishwasher tablets/powder are filled in the containers in the door.

On the door there is a panel where you select the program you want and start it by pressing start. Then close the door firmly.

Cleaning the filter in the cooker hood

  1. Bring water, vinegar, washing-up liquid and bicarbonate of soda to the boil in a saucepan. You can use only washing-up liquid and boiling water. If the filter does not fit, you can put it in an oven tray so that the whole thing is under water.
  2. Take out the filter for the cooker hood and put it in the saucepan.
  3. Leave the mixture for about 1 hour for best effect.
  4. Pick up the kitchen filter and rinse in running water, rubbing if there is any major stain.
  5. Allow the filter to dry before replacing it.
  6. Also wash the inside of the fan, as grease tends to collect on the inside of the fan.

Bicarbonate of soda and vinegar can damage the surface of aluminum fans so be sure to rinse off the kitchen filter and dry it before putting it back in.

Dishwasher does not wash dishes cleanly

Start by cleaning the filter, adding rinse aid and dishwasher salt. Then run a cleaning cycle in the dishwasher without dishes in it. Dishwasher cleaner is available at all grocery stores. Replacing the lamp in the oven

  1. Start by turning off the power to the oven.
  2. Unscrew the lamp glass from the lamp holder counterclockwise. Hold a cloth or towel between them so that the lamp glass does not crack. Remember that there may be grease on the lamp.
  3. Loosen the lamp inside the oven. These may look different depending on the model.
  4. Insert a new lamp with the same designation as the one you are replacing. Remember that the lamp must be able to withstand 300 degrees.

The water does not run away in the shower

As a tenant, you must clear the drains yourself. You start by lifting up the floor drain cover. Then pull up the water trap, which resembles a small bucket. Clean it thoroughly from hair and soap residue, it is possible to unscrew the water trap to get easier access. Also clean down the drain, if there is anything stuck there. Then put it back together and put it back in the drain and fill the water trap with new water, so that there is no smell from the drain. Cleaning the washing machine

Cleaning of dryers

  1. Start by cleaning the filter located on the inside of the dryer under the door. Open it up and remove the lint with your hand or vacuum cleaner at the lowest suction level. Replace the filter.
  2. Wipe off condensation on the door.
  3. Take out the water tank on the top left, just pull it out and empty it into the sink. Put the water tank back in.
  4. If you notice that the dryer is not quite dry, you can also clean out the filter at the bottom of the dryer. Remove lint with your hand or vacuum cleaner at the lowest suction level. Replace the filter.
  5. Remember not to use agents that could damage the dryer.

My washer/dryer does not start

It can be for various reasons, below we list the most common: Check that there is power in the socket, do this by plugging in an example of the mobile charger into the power socket? if there is no power, check in the electrical cabinet if any plug has gone. My washer/dryer does not open the door

It is not possible to open the doors during a program and up to 5 minutes after a program, this is to prevent water from running out onto the floor. If a few minutes have passed and the door still won’t open, try turning off the machine / unplugging the power cord and plugging it back in. Test if you can open the door.

My washing machine is not taking in water

If the washing machine detects that the door is open, the machine will not fill with water. Check that the door is properly closed. Remove any objects stuck in the door, or the rubber ring around the door opening.

Close until you hear a locking sound.

Also check that the water is switched on by turning the button / ballofix is turned to 1 / on. Once you have checked this and the error persists – then the problem may be behind the washing machine. Pull the machine out to access the hoses behind it. Check that these are not bent or clogged.

Sink/drain blockage

Open under the sink and unscrew the water trap, you do this in 2 places. Make sure you have a bucket underneath, as water will run out of the pipe.

Remove the blockage with your hand and then use a dish brush to clean the water trap and pipes.

Keep in mind that you can’t flush water from that faucet, as it will run right through now that the trap is gone.
